The image below shows a link to the Beta site for Wincustomize but it doesn't work and I thought it was "wincustomizetest.com" anyway ;)

Anyone know if there is a problem now with the ObjectDock weather Docklet?  I'm using the one that comes with OD+ and for the past couple of days it won't update, it says Feed not available.  I know DesktopX had a problem with it not long ago, is it now affecting OD??

Perhaps just a temporary setback, but unsure why its not working.

On Win7 btw.

I haven't seen too much on Wincustomize about netbooks (there was one DX theme that said it was adjusted for netbooks) but it seems to me this is a perfect niche for DesktopX to work its magic.

I recently purchased a netbook for my son and I'm trying to customize it before I give it to him. Its pretty snappy but XP doesn't lend itself well to using a small screen.  Especially where the primary uses would be navigating the net, viewing pictures, blogging, things like that.

ObjectDock provides one solution for helping one use a netbook, but I think if someone were to dedicate time to developing netbook exclusive DX themes and promoted them as such, it could be a far useful alternative.

I'm not a programmer, but I should think DX could replicate UI choices similar to Ubuntus Netbook Remix, Jolicloud or Moblin, which are all Linux based choices for netbook UI.  Or perhaps improve on those types of designs.

I suppose eventually Win7 will be the OS of choice on netbooks instead of XP, but while Win7 probably is a little better in some regards than XP for netbooks, I think DX could play a big role here.

So how about it Stardock?  Here is a perfect opportunity to promote the much hyped program that very few seem to want to use.

I haven't seen anything regarding this so wondering if I'm the only one experiencing it.

Over the past several weeks everytime I visit Wincustomize.com the featured skins don't change, they are always the same.  The articles and news update but those images at the top never change.

Also my SDC skin browser hasn't gotten skin updates since April 6th.  The two things may be connected?

I do realize the site is undergoing a re-write but didn't figure other things would be affected.  Just thought I'd make you aware if this is an issue or let me know what I can do to fix things.

The past couple of times I have run SDC's skin browser and checked for new or updated skin it came up blank, yet when I checked the website there were quite a few.  Is this broken?  Or is it simply phased out?

I've always liked the skin browser but due to its current omission from Impulse and lack of mention at all really I am assuming it isn't that popular a feature.  Bummer.

I have actually had this error for awhile but didn't ask about it since it didn't do this with all skins.  Now though I noticed it with the new release from Stardock called Stardust so I'm wondering if its something on my desktop doing it or if anyone knows what might fix it.
I'm on Vista Home Premium.  I have provided screenshots.  One using Stardust after its been applied and I re-booted the computer, and then another shot with a WB that works fine, iPhonix (which was applied after screenshot taken of Stardust showing poorly).  You see on the Stardust the button is hiding behind the start menu.

Also here is the text from WB system Info.

Thanks

As near as I can tell with mostly casual check but it appears my Vista pc won't sleep with Dreams running.  I suppose that is understandable considering what it does, but I would like to use Dreams yet still have the ability to have it go to sleep when I'm not using it.
Perhaps its simply a tweaking of the power settings?  Otherwise I may have to stop using Dreams :(

This program may have been mentioned before however I never really looked into it before. Its called Xpize. WWW Link

I was curious how compatible it was with Stardock programs. It has elements that WB does such as animations, some Icon packager related stuff, and login and boot skinning.

I like how it fixes up all the old icons, etc with updates that MS should have done. So mainly curious if there would be a conflict with Stardock programs such as WB and Icon Packager. Its obvious the login's and bootskin's would be in conflict as you can't have two programs trying to change the same thing.

I figured to start a thread so not to hijack the WFX 3.0 release thread. I realize the taskbar preview should show on top, but it isn't. Testing an idea here though.
Ummm ok that's weird. I thought I'd try something to see why it wasn't working. I thought perhaps it was due to having WMP miniplayer in the taskbar. I maximized it and things worked fine for the taskbar preview. Minimizing WMP back to the taskbar as the taskbar player didn't change things. Taskbar preview still worked.
It might be tied to it somehow though, because it stopped working again, but I brought WMP back up and it was fine again.
